circles circles and circles

While I thought scrapbooking/cardmaking is not as hot as few years ago, I went to a "department store" last week. Sorry, I don't really know how to categorize it. It's not really those department store like Bay, Macy's, but it does have a lot of stuff. Ah.. i know, it's similar to Walmart (which I seldom go)! Going back to that "dept store", there were trying to get rid of some of the scrapbooking stock, and doing a big discount. I normally don't go to that store, but the big discount sign and scrapbooking material caught my eyes. :)

Anyhow, so went there, and got some stuff. :) I used it for the 365 cards Circle Fenzy challenge. The requirement is to have 20 circles from different sources in the card. Here is my card:

I didn't count how many circles it has, but together with the 2 rhinestones, there must be more than 20 circles. :) And I start to like this color combination (pink + brown).

Mizuhiki

When shopping around some craft store last time, I saw a package for making Mizuhiki. What's mizuhiki? You use some metallic strips and twist them into beautiful thing, like flowers, animals. Here is a link I found some template:

I got a few cards that use mizuhiki before. I guess it's time for me to learn and make one. :)

Painting the stamp

I created this card without a challenge in my mind. But after I thought I was done with the father's day card (i know, it's a bit early), I found I could add some more. So I colored my stamp and stamped it on the card. It got me to the 365 cards "Stampin' Saturday" challenge.

Card challenge

I saw a lot of people made beautiful flowers from paper. For example,
Stampin' Stressaway with Carole' Ann
Tsuruta Designs

I have to say mine is nowhere near that. There are many more people have done it but the 2 blogs happen to be the most frequent blogs I visit recently. Anyway, 365 cards has a "white space" challenge:

And here you go:

For the butterfly (yes, butterfly again), I stamped some flower pattern using a copper ink pad to make it not plain.

Thanks for visiting.
