Less Is More Challenge - Use some Metal

This is one of the very few one-layer cards that I've made, cuz I usually find it difficult to make one.  But I think I'm quite happy with this card that I use it to participate in the Less is More challenge.  The "thank you" text is using the silver metallic embossing powder.  The card stock that I use is a bit creamy in color, I guess it might have better effect if I use a more white one.  Anyway, hope you like it.

Fusion and TGIF challenge

While it's sad to see some of the card challenge sites closing, it's time to look for some new challenges to join.  I recently discovered two sites:  TGIF challenge and Fusion Card Challenge. And I'm participating their challenges for the first time.

When I see this picture in the TGIF inspiration challenge , I immediately think of the card stock I got a while ago.

Together with the sketch from this week's Fusion challenge,

Here is my card:

Retro sketches challenge

I think I'm getting close to the number of thank you cards that I wanna make. Next would be one more Father's day card. :)

I'm playing along with the retro sketches challenge this week.  I actually made the card two days ago but didn't get the chance to take picture and upload to my blog.  Thanks that the deadline got extended, so that I still have the chance to enter this challenge. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Freshly made sketches -- thank you

Baby L recently starts to sleep less, which also means I have less time for myself including making cards!  I hope he would take longer naps once starting on solids. :)

There are still a bunch of thank you cards I need to make for my son's school year end.  I'm playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by.

CAS (E) this sketch

Now that its getting closer to the end of the school year, I'm creating a few thank you cards for my son's teachers.  How many do I need? I still haven't counted, but I know there are a few short.

I'm playing along with the CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

Retrosketches challenge

We usually give out thank you cards to teachers at my son's school.  Now that it's May, it's definitely a good time to start making some!

Here's my take on the Retrosketches challenge this week:

Finally some crafting time

Since Baby L was born, I haven't got time for doing some crafts.  Finally the time has come.. with the sacrifice of an afternoon nap. But I think it totally worth it.

March break starts...

Finally it's my vacation week! What's a better way to start with some crafting. :)

I'm playing along with the retro sketches challenge.

It seems like there are a lot of thank you cards to make if I want to give it to all my son's teachers!

I'm playing along with this week's retrosketches challenge and Allsorts challenge - "Spring is coming" .

Here is my take on it.

Start to love sketch challenge

I started to like sketch challenges more and more.  You gotta try something different style.  To be honest, I'm not very good at using many patterned papers in one card, cuz I find it's hard to find a good combination.

Anyway, I'm playing along with the Mojo Monday challenge.  Hope you like it.

CASE study challenge

(Edit: Better photo quality. but still...)

I'm playing along with the CASE study challenge.  Sorry about the poor photo quality.  It was shot at night using my cell phone.  I like the rainbow patterned paper, but it seems like it doesn't quite match the "thank you" stamp. :)
Thanks for visiting.
