My card is inspired by this Retro Sketches challenge.  

I particularly like this sketch because it's a good way to use up the scrap papers. :)

I think I'm getting close to the number of thank you cards that I wanna make. Next would be one more Father's day card. :)

I'm playing along with the retro sketches challenge this week.  I actually made the card two days ago but didn't get the chance to take picture and upload to my blog.  Thanks that the deadline got extended, so that I still have the chance to enter this challenge. :)

Last minute birthday card request

I just realized that I'm so behind on cards.  Normally, I have one or two extra bday cards for emergency.  But it looks like I now have more excuse to make more cards. :)

We usually give out thank you cards to teachers at my son's school.  Now that it's May, it's definitely a good time to start making some!

That's probably the last card I'll make for this year.  Need to clean up my desk and house in general to get ready for the baby to come. :)

I'm playing along with the Retrosketches challenge.  

This is inspired by a card from Amy Tsuruta.  Love her style, always so simple yet upbeat. 

Retrosketches -- Father's Day card

I guess it's a bit too early for Father's Day card, because it's just early Feb.  But I saw this monster cardstock and wanted to create something out of it.  So.. I'm participating the RetroSketches challenge. 

I'm inspired by one of the cards in that challenge.  Love the additional layers by the tags.

Sketch challenge

I'm playing along with retrosketches challenge this week.  I'm hoping to keep making one card per week, then I should have enough cards to cover for christmas. :)

Preparing for Christmas

Now that thanksgiving just passed. It's time to prepare for Christmas. I just counted how many Christmas cards I have to make this year, including for my son's teachers. I better start making whenever I find time!!

Summer time

I'm playing along with the clean and simple challenge. And intentionally make something that fits for the season. Hope you like it.

Happy father's day

Making a father's day card for my hubby.. I'm sure my son will make something at school for father's day. But I just love the cardstock.

I'm playing along with the retrosketches challenge.

I just discovered there are some nice features of my phone's camera. There are white balance, exposure, etc.  Although the picture quality is in no comparison with a DSLR, I'm happy that I can just take a photo of my card and post it to my blog. :) 

Finding a good use of a flower punch

My friend got me a flower punch some time ago which I don't quite know how to use it.  I recently saw a few blog posts from the crafts site which gave me some inspiration. I've used different ink pad to stamp on the background paper and put the punched flower paper on top.  I quite like this effect. :)

Anyway, I'm playing along with the retrosketch challenge and Allsorts' "Lets Get Cute" challenge.  I guess the punched flowers qualify in the "cute" category.  Hope you like it.

Another sketch challenge

There's some big clearance event happening at Michael's around my home.  And I got some good stuff today.  One of them is glue pad.  Still too excited about this new toy.  I'm sure the following few cards I'll be making will have glitter on it. :)

Chinese new year is coming up.  Wanna create a CNY card but not too much of the traditional stuff.  Here is what I created with the inspiration of this week's Retro Sketches challenge and Allsorts Flower Power challenge.
